If there is ever a reason to implement a brief hiatus on the “I swear this time for real no spending on clothes” rule, this is it.
The Love Vintage Show Sydney kicks off the evening of Friday 15 March and lasts through the weekend to Sunday 17. It’s Australia’s premier vintage event, bringing together all the best dealers in vintage, antique and retro clothing, accessories, textiles, jewellery, homewares and collectables. There is something for absolutely everyone there, whether you are after a 1950s frock, some 1920s Gatsby-esque costume jewellery, or a coat for the upcoming winter. Expect to find beautiful one-of-a-kind items from boutique labels, sourced from across the world. For any lover of vintage or the unique, this event is a must.
For those brides-to-be, this year the Love Vintage Show will feature the Vintage Wedding Fair. Find some inspiration and seek advice on how you can create a vintage-style celebration on your special day. Search around for your perfect gown, or maybe just your ‘something old’.
Not only is there going to be awesome shopping, but the show also includes fashion parades, free vintage style workshops, with Tony the Quiffmaster demonstrating retro hair style, and is guaranteed a better teacher than those millions of bogus YouTube tutorials we have all watched throughout our lives, live music and dancing over the entire weekend, and special guest Seth Gold, from Hardcore Pawn (A&E is the best channel in the world don’t even try to disagree.)
Admission is $14 for adults, $7 for children (10-16 years) and children under 10 get in for free. Tickets are available at the door or online at www.lovevintage.com.au. Held at Horden Pavillion, EQ Moore Park. Opens 15 March 5:30pm – 9:00pm, Saturday 10am – 5pm, Sunday 10am – 4pm.
